Pavilion By The Pond Programs are typically on the third Wednesday of the month, 12:30pm to 2pm. Refer to the calendar for exact dates. No charge, but donations gladly accepted.
The Pavilion provides covered outdoor seating and is located next to the Schaffer Pond.
The Garden closes for the season from late October to early March.

Hats, whether simple or elaborate, have been worn for centuries. Adorned with flowers, ribbons, veils, fur, lace, feathers and more, hats convey status, wealth, fashion sense, or a particular job. Wear your hat, if you like!

Pollination is important for a strong ecosystem. Using live material props, posters, tri-fold, and a PowerPoint, Sue will tell us what to plant to attract pollinators and how to help them safely nest in our gardens during all seasons.

Explore the three types of Japanese gardens: dry landscaped, courtyard and stroll gardens. Learn the histories and stories behind each of these unique styles. Beautiful photos taken in Japan may inspire you to re-create elements of these peaceful gardens here in the Pacific Northwest. SCBG has some elements of Japanese gardens: a pond, a flowing stream, graceful bridges, stones and green plants surrounding the pond.
